Edpuzzle

Edpuzzle is the world's #1 platform to turn videos into interactive lessons with quizzes, open questions, text notes and progress tracking. It lets teachers start from any video (YouTube, Vimeo, the Edpuzzle library, their own video) and enrich it with interaction moments that students must complete before continuing.

The pedagogical benefit is twofold: the video becomes active (not passive like TV watching), and the teacher has visibility into time spent, pauses, missed quizzes. This enables effective flipped-classroom scenarios: the student watches the video at home, completes quizzes and questions, and the teacher arrives in class already knowing the class's pain points.

The environment is safe for students: the official partnership with YouTube allows YouTube videos to be projected without ads, without recommended videos at the end, and without comments. For Italian schools this solves a concrete problem: using YouTube in the classroom is risky (inappropriate ads, uncontrolled video suggestions); Edpuzzle eliminates the issue.

The Edpuzzle Originals library includes thousands of videos already created with quizzes by certified teachers, organised by subject, age group and curriculum standard. Teachers can use them directly or adapt them to their own context.

The monitoring dashboard shows for each student: total watching time, how many times they paused, how many times they rewound, quiz answers, average time on open questions. The teacher sees patterns of difficulty and personalises follow-up in class.

In primary it is used to enrich science and geography videos. In middle school it supports flipped classroom across all subjects. In upper secondary it is particularly effective for maths, physics and languages (with listening and comprehension tracking).
